I know a lot of people here don't have an instagram account. How would you like it if I made a special Instagram folder in my gallery so I can post here on a more regular basis? I'm very active on IG and post a few times a day. It'll likely show WIPs/sket

I don't think it's a bad idea, but Deviantart does kind of have a dedicated place for that: scraps. If you submitted them there, people could choose whether to watch your scraps as well as your main gallery. Just an idea~

I know that not a lot of people watch scraps, so the majority of people would miss that. Based on the reaction I got from people in the poll I'll be uploading -some- of the IG stuff, not all of it. I know that some people like to see sketches and process work. Putting things in scraps, to me, is saying that ti's not worth being considered artwork and of the same possible quality.

I often find sketches far more beautiful and telling than finished work. That's just me though. I did consider the scraps, but in a previous pol I'd made a while back a lot of people told me they didn't watch the scraps. XD It's not like I'll be posting IG stuff here everyday or like 50million things everyday.

Oh, yeah. I totally understand where you're coming from! It's not like I have any problem with seeing your process work and sketches-I love it, actually! I was just making a suggestion. It's really easy to toggle watching scraps on and off but I feel like most people keep it off since no one actually uploads anything there.

I love the idea, but I think that it's better to put the pics you post separately on there in a sketchdump with about ten pics per sketchdump, so that there won't be a deviation spam

Well I wouldn't be posting all of them everyday. I'd use them as filler posts when I'm not active or working on a commission. For example, I've been working on one commission for two weeks and I've not really posted any art. This way I can have one a day or one every other day to stay active.

werent there news a while back that by posting pics on Instagram you gave them rights to use, sell and profit from your pictures in whichever way they wanted?

I read the TOS and I don't recall anything like that. Even so I never heard of that being an issue.

From your experiences, how does IG work out for artists? (like pros and cons)

IG is nice, especially if you do a lot of traditional work and sketches. IT's great to share WIPS and share your life with people (though some people don't like that).

 However you need a special program to upload from your computer, and it's pretty much mobile only. IT's hard to get a following and people are very bad, worse than dA about commenting.

I personally love IG since I do SO MANY sketches and WIPS that it makes it easy to share and update my following so I don't appear dead.
