feet can be tricky, it's the Arch that gets me every time.

For some reason, it's always a different body part each drawing I'm making of anthro animals, if that can count (my OCs have human-like bodies).

hands and feet.  Though hands are slowly improving so the feet are the worst.

Wrists are weird because tge bones of the forearm can actually cross over each other. Possibly studyning the hand and forearm as a whole might help?

Feet are like wedges and tge ankle a pivot or ball that only moves so far. Then you carve and arc shape out for the arch, if you can see it at tge angle you have. Toes are just like fingers.

boob placement is possibly the hardest thing
Reply
:iconahkward:
Ahkward Featured By Owner May 25, 2014  Professional Traditional Artist
Boobs are placed according to the deltoid, armpit, shoulders and gravity. Also depends how they are bound if at all. My teacher advises me to draw women with no breasts at all first to get everything else right. Then using tge other "key checkpoints" it helps make a map on where to put them. Though gravity always messes things up, it does play a part.

Hands and feet. I can draw just about anything else without reference materials, but hands and feet are still painfully difficult for me to get right.

Why do you draw without reference?
